Project Description: Large Government Hospital with current 650 beds being expanded to 950 beds and associated facilities in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia currently undergoing extensive expansion of medical and support facilities

4FMS Services:

  • Needs Analysis for Laundry Equipment and Laundry process flows for existing new Laundry building including transportation and logistics for delivery and collection of linen through the new Service Tunnel to hospital departments
  • Evaluation of existing building designs & specifications and recommendations to accommodate Laundry Equipment & Services
  • Appraisal of MEP and Utility Service Consumption Demand requirements for the Laundry Equipment for international Tender
  • Preparation of Laundry Equipment Design, process workflows & Laundry Equipment & accessories Specifications for new 30 tonne per day laundry facility
  • Assessment and recommendations for laundry products transportation solutions from and between various hospital departments
  • Assessment of Laundry Operator staff to manage and operate the Laundry Facility
  • Preparation of RFP, Conditions of Contract, Laundry Equipment Specifications and Tender Documents for Laundry Equipment and ancillaries
  • Laundry Equipment tender evaluation & assistance to Client in supplier negotiations
  • Non-Patient Services FM Outsourcing, Restructuring & Change Management – Utilities Maintenance Department (UMD). RFP, Conditions of Contract & Output Specifications
    • Preparation of above for all Non-Patient Services to be outsourced on an Integrated FM solution basis
    • FM Output Specifications included:
      • Schedule 1: Mobilisation & Transition Services
      • Schedule 2: Management, Administration, Systems & Resources
      • Schedule 3: Maintenance Services
      • Schedule 4: Cleaning & Pest Control Services
      • Schedule 5: Waste Management, Grounds, Landscape, Irrigation & Internal Plants Maintenance Services; Schedule 6: Fire Squad Services
    • Restructuring & Change Management – UMD
      • Utilities Management Department (UMD) of hospital employs some 500 “in house” staff and various Specialist Subcontractors
      • 4FMS carried out extensive due diligence audit of:
      • UMD Services & Service delivery
      • UMD FM Technology Systems including help desk & business processes
      • UMD Procurement of Supplies (spares & consumables)
      • UMD staff competencies, roles and responsibilities
      • Detailed “as is” and “to be” analysis report & change management recommendations including Sub-Departments and staff to be outsourced / transferred to new FM Operator as part of non patient 5-year Outsourcing Contract
